PORSCHE 911 996 CARRERA 100 Exhaust Manifolds (Headers)
The item displayed is a pair of 100% stainless steel performance manifolds (headers) for the Porsche 911 996 Carrera 2 and 4 . This quality pair of manifolds greatly enhance the rather lackluster OE manifolds of the aforementioned models, improving the sound and performance of the car via a more free-flowing exhaust. The manifolds come with all of the required gaskets and bolts to fit the manifolds to the cat section, However we do supply titanium studs to connect the manifolds to the cylinder head as a separate item . Please see 996 Titanium manifold studs. These manifolds are a suitable replacement of OE manifolds and are far more resistant to blowing and leaks than original manifolds. A cautionary note, when replacing 996 manifolds it is often tricky as OEM steel bolts that thread into the cylinder head securing the manifold have a tendency to snap off when removed. This is due to the constant expansion and contraction of the bolts due to heat exposure and poor material choice. We do also manufacture in house a drill jig specifically to allow for the drilling out of the broken OEM bolts.
The manifolds fit all 996 Carrera,Carbiolet and Targa 996 Carrera.
